Nestled inside one of the hippest neighborhoods in Chicago, Folklore’s dark and exotic atmosphere is a unique location for your get-together. Our space has the ambiance of old-school Argentina, emanating with sounds of tango and folklore in two rich, candle-lit rooms sure to impress your guests.

…floor-to-ceiling gridded window panes frame an interior that is layered in harmonious paradoxes…

… cold steel and Iron frames hug warm, rich wooden tables and floors..

… faux gas lighting provides a dim electric glow emulating from industrial iron pipes which jet from a tall classic Chicago tin ceiling…

…immense industrial vents stand as novelty against a backdrop of candlelight reflecting off exposed brick walls…

… the walls are adorned by antique frames showcasing items that could be found in the cellar of a farmhouse in the Argentine countryside…

The result: one is left feeling a warm sense of nostalgia in a place they’ve never been…

The West dining room is the largest. The 884 sq ft room and can play as a large hall or intimate back room. It has a capacity of 80 seated (120 w/out tables). Perfect for rehearsal dinners, small wedding receptions, corporate events, bridal or baby showers etc…

The East Dining room or Bar Area has a capacity of 25 seated at tables and additional 14 seated at the bar. And 50 without chairs and tables. 50% of the approximately 600 sqft room is a beautiful wood and iron bar. Bottles are illuminated by candlelight on iron shelves and accented by a television that can be seen by every seat in the room or tucked away off and unnoticed. This room is well suited for sports themed parties, office gathering or holiday party, greet and meet or even a bachelore or bachelorette party.

There are two sections in our patio area. Each seats approx 25 people. 50 total. Partially shaded by a large tree, the west patio has additional shading, provided by an awning that extends out from the building’s façade. The east patio is partially shaded by the tree, lined with potted plants and there are patio umbrellas available for additional shading. The gem is the of patio dining, however, is with the view of Division and its colorful thoroughfare of lights and passers-by. This area will accommodate 25-50 people.

Depending on your needs we offer a variety of service styles and packages including:

Hors d’ oeuvres and cocktails: For those who don’t want a formal sit and dine event, You can pick out some of your favorite finger foods and a bar package that suits your needs.

Parrallidas: mini-grills with assorted meats normally found at an Argentine “asado” or bbq. They will be placed along the center of your tables and so everyone can help themselves.

Buffet: With the guidance of our catering manager you pick out some select items which we will prepare and serve on buffet tables on one side of the room.

Family Style/ tapas: Our portions are quite large. We can place share portions of our dishes along the centers of the tables for your guests to help themselves.

Design your own: You can design your own menu by working with the guidance of one of our catering managers and pick out certain Argentine specialties you feel fits the your needs and the style of the party your hosting.

Open Menu: Your guests are free to pick their own items off our entire menu.
