ABOUT US

Discover the charm of Folklore

Argentine cuisine may be described as a cultural blending of Mediterranean and new world fare, drawing on Spanish and Italian culinary traditions in the preparation of the “asado”, or grilled steaks.

Enjoy our beautifully design interior, where the lighting is dim and each table is candle lit for a soft glow. The service is excellent and the server will keep your wineglasses full!

Providing quality domestic and imported select cuts of beef including organic, grass-fed and free-range beef.

This family-owned business has called Chicago home for over 20 years, opening its first location Tango Sur in Lakeview in 1996. The story of Folklore’s family is the story of the aspiring Argentine immigrant that relocated to the United States in search of a brighter and better future. Through hard work and dedication, Sergio Di Sapio and family made their dream a reality.

Folklore is proud in being recognized as the best Argentine steakhouse in town, offering a wide variety of meat cuts cooked either on the grill or slowly roasted meat over Quebracho wood.

In addition, Folklore has built one of the most distinguished and complete wine collections in Chiacgo.

For those who enjoy pastas and salads, Folklore offers an excellent home made selection of both.
